According to BCCI sources, Hardik may bid farewell to the Tests to play in ODI and T20 cricket. Hardik suffered a back injury in 2019, after which he underwent surgery. Since then, Hardik has not been able to bowl like before, so he has to bear the brunt.

Hardik has suffered a lot due to the injury. He can’t bowl like before and his performance in IPL 2021 and T20 World Cup has deteriorated. In the last one year, Hardik has bowled a total of 46 overs in ODIs and T20s, but his bowling is not as strong. That is why Hardik is out of the team.
