Action against 52 thousand 534 vehicles; fine of more than one crore was recovered

Navi Mumbai: Unruly vehicle parking is one of the major causes of traffic jams in the city and the traffic police are continuously taking action on it. Action has been taken against 52 thousand 534 vehicles for illegal parking during the year and Rs. 1 crore 5 lakh 6 thousand 800 has been recovered from them as penalty. Traffic congestion is a major problem at the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate. Increasing number of vehicles or non-parking lots are causing traffic jams. Also, the recklessness of the drivers is a major obstacle to the traffic.

Traffic in the city is becoming a major obstacle as motorists are parked everywhere. Vehicles are parked in ‘No Parking’ in front of Vashi Municipal Hospital Vashi, Ghansoli, Airoli, Koparkhairane Municipal Corporation Divisional Offices.

Police have taken action against 52 thousand 534 vehicles during the year due to illegal parking. This shows the extent of the driver’s recklessness.

Most action in Turbhe, Uran

Action has been taken against 52 thousand 534 vehicles for illegal parking. 1 crore 5 lakh 6 thousand 800 has been recovered as penalty for this. In Circle One, Turbhe is in the forefront with 9,504 actions taken in this place, while the lowest number of actions were taken in Koparkhairane with only 87. The highest number of actions in Circle Two was 7,395 in Uran while the lowest number of actions was taken in New Panvel with only 328 actions.
